Working Bicycle

The aim of the project was to further develop and improve the platform for mobile and dynamic outdoor advertising on private bicycles in Switzerland. The app should provide riders with a simple and user-friendly tool to track their rides and thus make the Working Bicycle offer even more attractive.

One of the main challenges of this project was the complex interaction of different elements: Two native apps (iOS and Android), a front end for drivers and one for companies, a central backend and admin interface for managing all data, and the website display partly identical, partly complementary, partly different and always complexly interlinked content. Ad-hoc changes to the system therefore often had and still have far-reaching consequences.

In addition, the project involved the migration and expansion of an existing system, which had to be smoothly converted and seamlessly compatible with the newly developed solution in all existing functions.

The backend as the hub of the platform was built with Symfony and API platform and communicates with the two apps (iOS and Android), the Admin Portal and the Driver Dashboard. The public website workingbicycle.ch is managed by our in-house CMS, while the Admin Portal and Driver Dashboard are specific in-house developments. The Admin Portal includes all simple and complex business processes for the management of drivers, boxes and campaigns, while the Driver Dashboard provides views for the drivers.
