Door to door deliveries, cheap and safe. Uniskat is an innovative transport company that relies on the concept of crowd shipping. The online platform connects transport companies with goods shippers and aims to reduce empty runs.
We were commissioned by uniskat to relaunch and rebrand the website. The main goal was to increase the usability of the platform and to greatly reduce the complexity of the ordering process for consignment of goods.
The major problem with uniskat website was its usability and the cumbersome ordering process. The form, which was completely displayed on one page, had countless fields and was difficult to keep track of. For customers, entering the data was a major hurdle. Furthermore, the platform lacked a modern look that matched the business model.
As a result of a systematic problem analysis, we have completely redesigned uniskat. Where white areas previously dominated, there is now a bright blue. We illustrated a new imagery that serves to explain the shipping process quickly and simply. With the new look, uniskat shows itself as a young and dynamic company and radiates more confidence and professionalism.
Old uniskat branding
New uniskat Branding
On the previous uniskat website, the user was forced to enter all the information needed for the transport into a single-page form. The form stretched across the entire page and overwhelmed users, resulting in high bounce rates. In addition, many users did not see the benefits of uniskat. With the new website, the benefits of uniskat are quickly and easily explained and users are invited to test it.
Users were often unsure how uniskat works. Therefore, we created a simple, illustrated guide that shows the process of a uniskat transport in an understandable way.
Studies have shown that the probability of generating leads can be increased by completing an action in steps. For this reason, we relied on a multistep form with progress bars for the redesigned site. Here, the simple and quick-to-answer questions are asked at the beginning. More complex questions follow towards the end, because by then the user has already made a lot of progress that they don't want to lose.
Another trick is to hide some steps in popups. These do not feel like real steps to the user, as they are not counted as steps in the progress bar either. This makes the form look shorter and provides better usability.
Via the progress bar, users can see how far they already are in the ordering process.
In the blue box, uniskat's USP and advantages are prominently displayed. This allows the user to quickly get an impression of the service.
Users can see the price difference for each step. This way, users who just want to test the service will get a better idea.
The content box is used to show the input fields in a striking way.
The button leads the user to the next step. In this way, small intermediate successes can be experienced.
