Native App Development
The Fracture Monitor Implant is a revolutionary medical device that continuously monitors the pressure situation of a bone plate. Our developed app and the load sensor are at the heart of this innovative solution. The associated app visualises the collected data intuitively and supports doctors in making an accurate diagnosis and planning problem-free fracture healing.

Native App Development
Our agency was given the exciting mandate to develop an app for the AO Foundation, focusing on a study. We faced a number of challenges with this project, which we overcame with our expertise and experience.
One of the first challenges was to design an app that was intuitive to use. As the app was to be used in a hospital environment, it was crucial that it could be used by healthcare professionals without much difficulty. We had to ensure that the user interface was clear and easy to understand to enable smooth navigation and use.
Another aspect was to create a calming and minimalist design. In an environment that is often associated with stress and hustle and bustle, our goal was to provide users with a pleasant and relaxed experience. We worked closely with the client to develop the right colour scheme, appropriate icons and a calm user interface that met the needs and expectations of the users.
A crucial factor in developing the app was integrating the design into the context of a hospital. We had to ensure that the look and feel of the app fit seamlessly with the medical equipment and environment. This required close collaboration with the designers to create a visual concept that reflects the medical atmosphere and builds trust with users.
In addition to the aesthetic challenges, we also had to consider technical aspects. The app had to be stable, reliable and secure to meet the strict requirements in the healthcare sector. We invested a lot of time and resources in quality assurance and testing to ensure that the app works smoothly and that patients' sensitive data is protected.
The concept includes an implantable data logger that attaches to a standard bone plate and a smartphone app that connects wirelessly to the data logger and downloads the information. A central web server collects and stores the data from the patient's smartphone for visualisation, and the patient's doctor receives high-quality decision support for further treatment.
Overall, this project was an exciting challenge for our agency. We were able to successfully develop an app that is intuitive, reassuring and minimalist in design, while fitting perfectly into the context of a hospital. Working closely with the AO Foundation allowed us to exceed expectations and create a solution that meets the needs of the medical environment.
